Certificate of Analysis (COA)

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the supplier's record of testing for a specific batch (lot) of a research peptide. A complete COA includes: the batch number and date of synthesis, the chemical structure or sequence, the molecular weight, the purity figure (typically by HPLC), confirmation of identity (typically by mass spectrometry), appearance, solubility, and storage recommendations. For research-grade peptides, the COA is the primary trust document — it lets the receiving laboratory verify what arrived matches what was ordered, and serves as a record for any downstream protocol or publication.
