Frequently asked questions
- GHK is a tripeptide (Gly-His-Lys) endogenously found in human plasma. GHK-Cu is its copper(II) complex (C₁₄H₂₄N₆O₄Cu, MW ≈ 403.9 g/mol). Many of the biological activities reported in literature are attributed to the copper complex specifically, not the bare peptide.
- Each batch is HPLC-MS verified at ≥99% purity. COA confirms identity, copper coordination, and lot details.
- Store lyophilised GHK-Cu at -20 °C in a sealed vial protected from light — the copper complex is sensitive to light and oxidation. Reconstituted solutions should be used promptly or stored short-term at 2-8 °C in the dark.
- GHK-Cu is studied in dermal fibroblast culture, full-thickness wound healing models, hair follicle biology, and gene-expression-modulation research (transcriptomic studies suggest GHK-Cu influences thousands of human genes related to ECM, antioxidant defense, and inflammation).
- GHK-Cu is widely used in topical cosmetic formulations (regulated as cosmetics in many jurisdictions). Research-grade GHK-Cu supplied by Peptra Labs is for laboratory research only and is not approved as a systemic therapeutic.
