Compounds in this category are used to study reproductive and melanocortin signalling in the laboratory, in particular the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and the melanocortin receptor family (MC1R to MC5R), in receptor assays, cell lines and animal models.
The range includes Kisspeptin 10, the shortest active fragment of kisspeptin, studied in published literature for its action on the KISS1 receptor and on GnRH release; PT-141 (bremelanotide), a melanocortin receptor agonist with a preference for MC4R; and Melanotan 2, a non-selective cyclic analogue of α-MSH. Melanotan 2 is also listed under skin and pigmentation research, and Kisspeptin 10 under endocrine research.
Where a batch has been tested, its certificate of analysis is published in our lab reports with the batch number, test date and method. All products are supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only and are not for human or veterinary use.
