Description

DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide first isolated in the 1970s from cerebral venous blood during slow-wave sleep, classified as a peptide neuromodulator. Research Highlights 1. Sleep Regulation — Improved sleep duration, quality, and REM in chronic insomniacs. Sustains natural sleep rather than inducing pharmacological sedation.
2. Stress Protection — Normalizes blood pressure, modulates corticotropin, inhibits somatostatin. Enhances mitochondrial respiratory activity.
3. Pain Modulation — Influences chronic pain perception through endocrine regulatory pathways.
4. Depression — Altered DSIP levels found in plasma and CSF of depressed patients.
5. Substance Withdrawal — Promising results in alcohol and opiate detoxification.
6. Cancer Research — Effects on aging biomarkers, lifespan, and tumor incidence in animals. References available upon request. The product is intended for scientific research and development purposes only. Chemical substances shall not be used as a drug, medicine, active substance, medical aid, cosmetic product, a substance for production of a cosmetic product neither for human consumption that is any food or food supplement or otherwise similarly used on humans or animals. Intended only for in-vitro research, such as Receptor-ligand binding studies, Enzyme activity assays, Cell proliferation assays, Cell signaling assays, Epitope mapping, etc.

Frequently asked questions
- Batch-level CoA information is available where applicable and focuses on purity testing. We do not claim identity testing unless that test exists for the specific batch.
- Store the lyophilised vial at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted for in-vitro work, follow your laboratory's standard handling and stability protocols. Most reconstituted peptides remain stable at 2-8°C for short-term use.
- No. All Peptra Labs peptides are supplied strictly for laboratory and educational research use only. They are not approved for human or veterinary administration, are not evaluated by the FDA or EMA, and must not be used as drugs, supplements, or cosmetic products.
- We ship across the EU and the United Kingdom. Most orders arrive within 2-5 business days. Free shipping on orders over €300.
- Each shipment contains the sealed, clearly labelled vial only. Batch-level CoA information is available in the Lab Reports section where applicable. Research-use warnings are shown on the vial label and site policy pages.
